Email howdy@What happens after you send a quote
- 1. We read it. A builder reads the whole thing, plans and photos included. Not a bot, not a call centre.
- 2. We check the block. Zoning, lot size, overlays, flood and bushfire mapping, sewer, and whether a truck and crane can get in.
- 3. We reply by email. A straight answer on whether the job fits, what it's likely to take, and anything that could stop it.
- 4. Next steps. If it fits, we tell you what we need to price it: usually a site visit, sometimes a survey or plans. If it doesn't, we say so and, where we can, point you to who can help.
What helps us answer fast
- The site address, so we can check zoning, overlays and lot size
- Photos of the spot, the side access and the street
- What you're after: granny flat, reno, extension or an install
- Any plans, the maker's drawings, or a link to the home you like
- Your timing and a rough budget, even a range
When we reply
We reply by email, Monday to Saturday. A question gets a short answer. A full quote request takes a little longer, because we look at the block before we write back. If it's been a while, check your spam folder, then email howdy@bigsmall.au.

Do you do site visits?
Yes, once we've read the job and it looks like a fit. We start from the address, your photos and the council mapping, which answers most of the early questions. When we're close to a price, we come out and look at the block ourselves, because access, slope and services decide more than the plans do.
Do you work outside South East Queensland?
Our work is Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Logan, Ipswich, Redland, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Further out, ask us. Sometimes it works, and if it doesn't we'll say so straight away rather than string you along.
Can I call you?
There's no phone number on the site, on purpose. Email reaches the builder who'll answer you, and it gives you everything in writing to come back to. Once we're working together on a job, we talk on the phone as much as the job needs.
Do you quote from plans?
Yes. Send them through the quote form with the site address and photos. We read them against the block and come back with what it'll take. A price from plans alone is an estimate until we've seen the site; the written quote follows the site check.
Do you install modular homes I've already bought?
Yes. We install Outhaus homes and modules from other makers across South East Queensland. Send the maker's drawings, the engineering and the delivery date through the quote form, and we'll tell you what the site needs.
How long until I hear back?
We reply by email, Monday to Saturday. A simple question gets a short answer. A full job takes longer, because we check the block before we reply, and we'd rather send one useful answer than three quick ones.
